In addition to its immediate work on “Farah Goes Bang,” Prospect Place Productions hopes to pursue the following projects, and proposes to produce them as subsequent features to Farah Goes Bang, consistently with PPP’s mission to create authentic female-centered stories.  

Farah Goes Bang
Genre: Road Movie/Buddy Comedy

Farah Goes Bang follows three recent college graduates who campaign for John Kerry in 2004, and the political and sexual awakenings that happen on the road.

Sister Mischief 
Genre: Teen Comedy/Musical

From the young adult novel by Laura Goode (Candlewick Press, 2011), Sister Mischief follows 16-year-old Esme Rockett as she comes out as a lesbian, forms an all-girl hip-hop crew with her three best friends, and falls in love with her South Asian co-MC.  Through the author, Prospect Place Productions owns all film, TV, and audio rights to Sister Mischief.

Risk
Genre: Corporate Drama

Based on the true story, Morgan Stanley executive Zoe Cruz smashes the glass ceiling of Wall Street’s elite boys’ club, then takes the fall for the Great Recession.  A wife, mother, first-generation immigrant, Harvard Business School graduate, and financial wizard, Cruz’s story reveals the complexity of American female power in the 21st century.

Laideez Nite
Genre: Comedy

Four bachelorettes hit the streets of New York City for a weekend of fun that dissolves into chaos, raising questions about female friendship, the American wedding-industry machine, and how many Jack Daniels shots are too many.

Happy For You
Genre: Romantic Comedy

Nisha Patel has found the love of her life, with one minor complication: she’s Hindu, and he’s Muslim.  Warring families, envious frienemies, and complicated dinner parties (Who eats meat?  Who doesn’t?  Chaos ensues!) set the backdrop for this thoroughly modern romantic comedy.
